Did you know Design Forward Alliance is a membership organization? We exist to serve our members and provide exciting ways for you to engage in promoting the value of design. If you attended the 2017 Design Forward Summit last October your registration automatically included membership in the alliance.
So what's it mean to be a member? Here's your chance to find out at a celebratory mixer. (Non-members are warmly welcome too.) You’ll hear what’s in store for the rest of 2018 and beyond for Design Forward Alliance. We’ve got an amazing lineup planned and tons of opportunities for you to participate as volunteers, leaders, boosters, and practitioners. We’ll be sharing more about the World Design Capital, inspiring talks from heavy hitters, the 2018 San Diego Design Showcase, and more.
This is not just a run of the mill mixer. We’ve also arranged for an exclusive peek into one of the coolest things happening in San Diego: Makers Quarter. This is urban innovation driven through human-centered design. Stacey Pennington, urban planner, will give a quick talk on the history and vision of Makers Quarter that seeks no less than to transform how creators and innovators live, work, and play in the heart of San Diego.
But wait, there’s more! The grand opening for Makers Quarter Block D is not till June but you'll be treated to behind-the-scenes tours of some of the key spaces before anyone else.
10 Barrel is providing the venue. Design Forward Alliance is providing some tasty eats and beverages. Come discover all the incredible things to emerge from all of us working together.
