What are the Design Forward Salons?

An important part of Design Forward is providing an opportunity for civic, industry, and community leaders to connect with designers and experience the depth and breadth of design and design talent in the San Diego region. The salon areas provide some structure for making these connections and are structured to accommodate the spectrum of attendees from newcomers looking to understand the basics of human-centered design to those looking for specific expertise around the value, tools, and methods of design.

MORNING SALONS:  BREAKOUT SESSIONS WITH DESIGN LEADERS

WHAT IS DESIGN?

Human-centered design, design thinking, design engineering… The word “design” has become one of the most used words in our vocabulary, creating interest, curiosity and often confusion.
